Bheshta Azizi is a current graduate student in the International Education program at New York University (NYU), specializing in intercultural learning and arts-based pedagogies. An avid performer, musician, and concert-goer, she has long been drawn to musical experiences that transcend time, moments where sound, space, and audience converge into something fleeting yet profoundly felt.

Her relationship with music and the arts began early in elementary school through band programs and continued at UC Davis, where she performed in the Big Band and explored jazz history and performance. Alongside this, she founded and led a student-run rock band as a singer, songwriter, and composer, further grounding her practice in collaboration, experimentation, and live performance.

Through years of creative work and immersion in live music spaces, Bheshta developed a distinct sensibility for capturing performance from within the crowd. In 2024, after much encouragement from her peers and the artists she photographed, she began dedicating more of her professional time to developing her craft in concert photography. Her work focuses on raw, unedited images and videos that preserve the immediacy of live shows, embracing imperfection, intimacy, and the audience’s true perspective.

Drawing on both her academic and musical experiences, Bheshta continues to explore the intersection of music, learning, and community. Her work captures the energy, emotion, and fleeting magic of live performance, offering audiences a deeply personal perspective and a lasting connection to each moment.
